«Fundamentals of Family Child Care
Duration: 12 hours, Fee: $65

This course is required for all certified and licensed family child care providers. The course provides essential information about establishing a family child care business that is in accordance with Wisconsin's State Law.This course will meet the State of Wisconsin licensing rule requirement for training in business practices for "regular" certified and licensed family child care providers.
Students are required to attend all 12 hours and receive a passing grade in order to receive certificates.

«Fundamental of Infant and Toddler Care
Duration: 15 hours, Fee: $65,

This course includes Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) training. This course applies to family and group providers who care for infants and toddlers. This course provides requirements and practices for entry level child care providers who work with infants and toddlers.
Students are required to attend all 15 hours and receive a passing grade in order to receive certificates.

The (SBS) training is designed to meet the new child care licensing rules which started on April 1, 2007. The course will address the effects of SBS and how to prevent it. This class meets the training requirements and is approved by the Department of Health and Family Services and the Department of Workforce Development.
The (SIDS) training uses the curriculum from the American Academy of Pediatrics.

«Child Abuse and Neglect

This course is designed to provide training on the recognition and reporting of child abuse and neglect for professionals mandated to report suspected child maltreatment. Proper recognition and reporting is a fundamental first step in addressing the tragedy of child abuse. Child abuse is a major national concern. Studies show that each year over one million children are abused or neglected by their parents.
