A good child care teacher should;

  • Have a deep understanding of child development

  • Be able to create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

  • They should have excellent communication skills, patience, and be able to build positive relationships with both children and their families.

  • They should also be able to plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

  • They should be able to manage the classroom effectively, maintain a clean and organized environment, and understand and follow all state regulations and guidelines.

  • A child care teacher should also be a good role model and be able to provide guidance and support for the children in their care.
